SV 07 Elversberg x Bayern München - Highlights, Summary and Match Report | OneFootball

Bayern München left the URSAPHARM-Arena an der Kaiserlinde with a 2-1 win over SV 07 Elversberg in the 3rd round of the 1. Bundesliga 26/27. The visitors enjoyed the bulk of possession and chances, ending with 70% of the ball, 26 shots and 8 corners, while Elversberg were restricted to 30% possession and 5 attempts.

The breakthrough arrived on 26 minutes when Lennart Karl put Bayern ahead with a left-footed finish from the right side of the six-yard box, after being set up by Harry Kane. The opener reflected the away side's early control, with Bayern already looking the more dangerous team in the final third.

Elversberg refused to fold and drew level in the 61st minute through Maurice Krattenmacher, who fired in from outside the box with a right-footed effort. The home side's equaliser briefly raised hopes of a surprise result, despite Bayern's territorial dominance and their superior expected goals tally of 2.26 to 1.03.

Bayern, however, had the final say. Harry Kane restored the lead on 72 minutes with a right-footed shot from the centre of the box, sealing a deserved away victory. Elversberg finished with just one shot on target, while Bayern's six on target proved enough to collect the points.
