FLW's Imps fan pundit has blasted the Swans reported attempt at signing star man Ethan Erhahon

Swansea City's reported £600,000 rejected bid for Lincoln City midfielder Ethan Erhahon has been dismissed as a pitiful attempt to sign him ahead of the summer transfer window, and FLW's Imps fan pundit has insisted that he should only be sold for at least double that fee to an interested club in the coming months.
Lincoln are fresh off the back of a strong season that saw them finish 11th in League One after being in the play-off race for the majority of the campaign under Michael Skubala.
Their impressive form as a club over the last two years has alerted higher-placed sides to the potential availability of some of their key men, namely Paudie O'Connor, Sean Roughan, and now also Scottish midfielder Ethan Erhahon, who has reportedly been the subject of a failed bid from Championship outfit Swansea City.
Erhahon joined Lincoln from Scottish Premiership side St Mirren in January 2023, and he had an immediate impact as he went straight into their starting eleven and helped the club finish mid-table in the third-tier.
He continued to stand out in his first full season at Sincil Bank, and was named as the Imps' Player of the Year for his impressive performances throughout 2023/24 as he registered two goals and four assists in 43 appearances.
The Scotland under-21 international has once again proved his worth in League One over the last nine months, despite suffering from injury issues, and Championship clubs look set to battle it out for his signature as he takes the next step of his career this summer.
Football Insider recently claimed that Swansea had seen a £600,000 offer for Erhahon rejected by Lincoln, but the Imps are expecting to entertain more bids for their star central midfielder as the summer goes on.
FLW's Lincoln fan pundit, Gary Hutchinson, has blasted the Swans' lacklustre attempt to lure the 24-year-old to South Wales, and he is of the opinion that Erhahon is worth at least double the fee mooted if a Championship club wants to make him theirs ahead of next season.
"There is no doubt whatsoever that (Swansea’s bid for Erhahon) was never going to go through," Gary told FLW.
“The bare minimum that a club are going to have to pay for Ethan Erhahon will be £1.2 million. That’s not the exact figure that the club have agreed (to sell him for), but it is the figure that much of the fanbase believe the club have agreed (to sell him for).
“Any offer under that will be refused, so Swansea coming in with a £600,000 offer is derisory, derogatory, and was always, always going to be rejected.
“Would he be a good fit for them? Not now they’ve only offered £600,000, no, because it devalues the player. His agents will know what the figure is as well.
“I’m sure he would be a good fit for Swansea, as he would for Stoke, Hull, Preston and Luton, because he is a good footballer, and every team needs a holding midfielder or a midfielder of his ilk.”
Erhahon has been a key man for Lincoln for over two years now, and a player of his age and potential is only going to stay in the third-tier for so long before a move to the Championship beckons.
The Imps have been consistently decent in League One since he joined, but they have failed to show proper signs of progress and actually finished lower in 2024/25 than they did in the previous campaign.
Head-coach Michael Skubala admitted in April last year that the club would "probably struggle" to keep hold of him in that summer window, yet they did, and he stayed for the whole season, but now feels like the right time for both parties to go their separate ways.
Swansea may have begun the bidding with a measly offer that was duly rejected, but it feels like the tip of the iceberg in regard to a battle for his services this summer that could wage on until the new season starts, with Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, Derby County, Millwall, Oxford United all also linked with a move.
Erhahon certainly seems likely to leave Sincil Bank soon, but Lincoln are rightly standing by what they think he is worth, and so it will likely take a much bigger bid than the reported £600,000 to prise him from their grasp in the coming months.
