After the restart, Anthony Patterson stood tall for the visitors, parrying Zan Vipotnik's close-range attempt (81.).

A late treatment stoppage for Max Cleworth and Stephen Welsh preceded six minutes of added time.

In those closing moments, Joseph Opoku's rising drive was tipped over by Patterson in the third minute of second half stoppage time. Kieffer Moore then forced Lawrence Vigouroux into a low save in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time, before Patterson gathered Elijah Just's strike in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time.

Swansea finished with 61.5% possession and three attempts on target from six shots. Wrexham registered one effort on target from eight attempts.

Next, Swansea visit Southampton. Wrexham host Burnley.
