Swansea City have confirmed the sacking of manager Alan Sheehan with the club currently 18th in the table.
Former defender Sheehan was appointed as permanent manager in the summer after having previously stepped in as interim coach on two occasions with admirable results.
However, the 2025/26 season has not gone to plan yet for Swansea who have won just one of their last eight games in all competitions, including a 4-1 defeat at home to Ipswich Town at the weekend.
In total, the Swans have a record of six wins, six draws, and seven defeats in 19 games across both league and cup games.
"Alan has been instrumental in helping improve the club through two periods of time," a statement from co-owners Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen said.
"Alan has a tireless work ethic, an honest approach and a positive attitude. He has put his full effort into the job on behalf of the club.
"The club would like to place on record its thanks to Alan for all of his hard work during his time at Swansea City. We wish Alan and his family all the best for the future."
The Swans have some time to bring in a new manager with the club not back in action until Saturday 22nd November when they face Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
