Swansea City booked their spot in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after staging a thrilling comeback from two goals down to snatch a late victory over Nottingham Forest, who are still searching for their first win under Ange Postecoglou.

Forest looked well on their way to a routine triumph thanks to Igor Jesus’ first-half brace, which seemed to put them firmly in control.

His opener came 15 minutes in, when Hutchinson’s driving run from the left ended with a shot that deflected kindly into Jesus’ path, and the forward tucked it away at the far post.

Things looked wrapped up just before the break, as James McAtee’s sharp play down the right set up Hutchinson, who squared unselfishly for Jesus to tap home his second.

Swansea were given a lifeline midway through the second half when Cameron Burgess rose to glance in Eom Jisung’s corner, sparking belief among the home fans. The stadium erupted in injury time as Vipotnik slid in Liam Cullen’s cross to level the score.

With penalties looming, Forest crumbled. In the seventh minute of added time, they failed to deal with another corner, allowing Burgess to lash the ball into the net and complete Swansea’s dramatic turnaround.
