Swimming: Gold for Angélica André in the 1500m freestyle

Angélica André won the gold in the 1,500 meters freestyle and was crowned champion of her category at the National Short Course Championships, which conclude this Tuesday in Leiria. The Olympic swimmer was the fastest, completing the race in 16 minutes, 29 seconds, and 86 hundredths.

On the third day of the senior competition, Rodrigo Borges returned to the podium by securing the silver medal in the 400 meters relay (4m32s70). In the junior championships, Beatriz Ambrus finished in third place in the 1,500 meters freestyle (17m51s46), while Francisco Miguel Pereira was second in the 200 meters freestyle (1m51s04).
