Inter Milan’s 4-0 win over Como produced almost universal praise across the squad for Cristian Chivu, with one exception: Yann Sommer.
As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Sommer was the only Inter player to receive a failing grade.
Despite the dominant performance at San Siro, making him the sole negative note of the afternoon.
According to the paper, “the misjudged charge at Valle at the start of the second half, with the score at 1-0, could have brought Como back to life and reopened the match. Perhaps the criticism is weighing on him and he’s lost some serenity.”

The rest of the team earned strong marks.
With a cluster of 7s for Acerbi, Dimarco, Barella, Calhanoglu, Luis Henrique, Thuram and Lautaro.
Bastoni, Zielinski, Mkhitaryan and Carlos Augusto were given half a point less, while Akanji received a straight 6.
But the star of the match, in the eyes of Gazzetta, was not a player at all.
Cristian Chivu earned the highest rating of the night with an 8.
Indeed, praised for a clear and aggressive tactical plan that suffocated Fabregas’ side.
“He prepared it perfectly,” the report wrote.
“He asked his players to strangle Como, to stop them from being themselves. Everyone knew exactly what to do and they did it brilliantly.”
Among the players, Luis Henrique was highlighted as the standout performer, with the Brazilian earning particular acclaim for his energy and influence down the right.
