Szoboszlai Gets 8.5, Gakpo With 8 | Liverpool Players Rated In Disappointing Loss Vs Manchester United

Liverpool faced off against Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a horror start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the sixth minute when Matheus Cunha found the back of the net with a deflected effort. Benjamin Sesko doubled his side’s lead in the 14th minute as Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time interval 2-0 down on the scoreline.
Dominik Szoboszlai got a goal back for the Merseyside club in the 47th minute before Cody Gakpo equalised for them in the 56th minute. Kobbie Mainoo ended up scoring the winning goal for Liverpool in the 77th minute as the contest finished with Liverpool suffering a disappointing 3-2 loss on the road.

RB: Curtis Jones – 6.5/10
Jones earned the ball back twice and made one good run with the ball.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6/10
He looked shaky at the back and put in a disjointed performance this afternoon.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 5.5/10
Van Dijk cleared the danger when he could, but failed to organise his backline.

LB: Andy Robertson – 6/10
He worked hard but lacked quality on the ball.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 7/10
Gravenberch was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6.5/10
He linked up play well with others around him, but there was no goal for him.
RW: Jeremie Frimpong – 6/10
Frimpong was tidy with his passing but failed to impress in the final third.
CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 8.5/10
He made a few inviting chances for his teammates to score and ended the game with a goal and an assist to his name.
LW: Florian Wirtz – 6.5/10
Wirtz caught the eye at times, but never looked like he would score.
ST: Cody Gakpo – 8/10
He was a real menace on the offensive end of the field and managed to score the equaliser in the 56th minute.
LB: Milos Kerkez – 6.5/10
He made one good chance in the final third.
