He cleared the danger when needed and put in a much-improved display at left-back.

CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 7/10

Gravenberch was full of energy and running at the centre of the park.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6.5/10

He earned the ball back twice during the game and was replaced after the hour mark.

RW: Mohamed Salah – 6/10

Salah struggled to get into the flow of the game and never looked like he would score.

He linked up play well with others around him, but there was no goal for him.

Gakpo managed to shine at times in the opponent’s half but failed to register a goal.
