A group campaigning to bar adult-content platform advertising in football and public events attended Corinthians’ 2-1 home defeat by Cruzeiro on Sunday at Neo Química Arena. The row escalated after the club agreed a sponsorship with Fatal Fans.

According to Meu Timao, federal deputy Tabata Amaral and activist Lari Agostini joined supporters in Itaquera. Amaral said state and federal bills seek to prohibit such adverts at events or venues benefiting from public funds or tax breaks.

She argued publicity for adult platforms should be barred in publicly backed spaces, adding this was not an attack on Corinthians or workers. She compared it to betting and cigarettes, saying taxation is not enough, and lamented the deal.

Amaral cited the club’s record on democracy and women’s safety, said she cannot speak for everyone, and felt the decision jars with that. She added many fans back the campaign and pointed to a São Paulo prosecutor’s inquiry.

Agostini said their complaint mirrors controls on betting, cigarettes and alcohol. She argued sport shapes culture for children and teenagers and noted there is no clear law. She criticised the club’s silence despite a petition near 100,000 signatures, saying prosecutors still await a response, though Fatal Fans has replied.

Next steps include a meeting with prosecutors and seeking to activate the MP’s Ninguém Se Cala programme. She denied any role in Nike’s notice and said Fatal Fans funnels users to sister brand Fatal Model in the Atlas group, with explicit content accessible without age checks.
