Talks advanced in FC Nantes sale | OneFootball

Waldemar Kita is nearing an agreement to sell FC Nantes to a group of French and Portuguese investors, as per a report from L’Équipe.

Kita bought Nantes for €10m back in 2007 and has now set a €100m asking price for the Loire-based club, who were relegated to Ligue 2 earlier this year. Earlier this season, Kita revealed that he was open to a sale and had revealed concrete bids from three parties.

Talks, L’Équipe understand, are very advanced. The difference in valuation between the potential investors is small, and that they are willing to pay the asking price, which had been seen as high, despite a lack of debt, suggests that the prospective investors have considerable means.

In the background of this deal is a former agent, Paulo Tavares, who was also involved in the recent sales of Valenciennes and AS Saint-Étienne to their new owners.
