After finalizing the renewals of Mancini and Cristante, Roma is negotiating a renewal for Celik.
The Turkish full-back, completely revitalized by Ranieri’s arrival, has gradually become one of the squad’s most important players.
The number 19 guarantees versatility and athleticism and can play in various positions on the pitch, effectively offering Gasperini several alternatives.
In October, the Giallorossi coach himself had asked the club to push for a renewal for the 1997-born full-back, whose contract expires in June 2026.
The Trigoria club, however, stalled and never actually made any offer to the player’s agents.
Barring any surprises, as reported by SiamoLaRoma.it, the most likely outcome seems to be a summer separation, with Roma losing him on a free transfer.
Last summer, Fulham made an offer to bring him to London. A renewed push from Premier League clubs isn’t out of the question, given his consistently improving performances for the Giallorossi.
