The situation regarding Lorenzo Pellegrini’s future remains unresolved at Roma.
The former Giallorossi captain’s contract expires at midnight between June 30th and July 1st, but there’s no particular concern at Trigoria.
The parties are reportedly willing to continue working together, though a final agreement will still take a few more days.
As reported in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, unlike the situations involving Paulo Dybala and Zeki Celik, which are considered closer to being resolved, Pellegrini’s deal will require at least one more meeting between Sporting Director Tony D’Amico and the midfielder’s team.
The goal will be to find a mutually agreeable solution, both technically and financially, following the postponement of negotiations due in part to Roma’s prioritization of capital gains.
Pellegrini remains an important figure within the Giallorossi squad, and the club appears unwilling to sever his relationship.
Gian Piero Gasperini is also awaiting developments ahead of the summer meeting scheduled for July 13th at Trigoria.
The feeling is that there are still some details to iron out before the deal is signed, but the dialogue between the parties continues in a positive spirit. The next meeting could be crucial in finalizing the new agreement.
