Talks for Roma’s new stadium enter final stages: key Conference of Services to take place in the next few hours | OneFootball

Today could be a historic day for Roma. Meet around 10:30 a.m. at Via Nomentanta 2, fourth floor, headquarters of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport’s Higher Council of Public Works.

The second and final decision-making conference will take place in the next few hours, issuing the final opinion on Roma’s stadium, which will be built in Pietralata.

No surprises are expected, and work is moving toward the green light for construction to begin.

Approval for the executive project is pending, which will allow the various international tenders to begin construction of the Giallorossi’s new home.

This morning, Massimo Sessa, the Government’s Special Commissioner for Euro 2032 Stadiums, will preside over the conference. As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, approximately 50 institutional and technical entities will be involved.

The City of Rome, the Lazio Region, all the ministries involved in the matter, the Metropolitan City, the Local Health Authorities (ASL), the Italian National Railways (FER), the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), the Italian National Association of Athletics Federations (ATAC), the Italian Athletics Federation (ACEA), and many others will be present.

Roma will be represented by Lucia Bernabé, the club’s head of institutional relations. If the conference gives the final green light today, as expected, the Giallorossi club will be able to move quickly toward the laying of the foundation stone, scheduled for March or April 2027.
