Chelsea are one of three Premier League clubs to have scouted Cameroon striker Karl Etta Eyong, but are yet to make a meaningful move for the Levante star according to reports.
The Blues completely revamped their frontline over the summer, and made five attacking signings, whilst four attackers also left the club.
Chelsea are currently the second highest scorers in the league with 21 goals, just two behind Manchester City with 23.
The Blues currently have Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, who they signed in the summer and Marc Guiu as their centre forward options.
Emmanuel Emegha is also set to join from Strasbourg next summer, after a pre agreement was reached with the French club.

Chelsea are therefore well stocked in the striker department, but that hasn’t stopped them from monitoring other players.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported for talkSPORT that the Blues, along with Manchester United and Arsenal have scouted Levante star Etta Eyong.
The report adds the trio are yet to make a meaningful move for the 22-year-old who has six goals and three assists so far this season.
Etta Eyong has previously stated it would be a “dream” to play for Chelsea, but it remains to be seen if his dream will become a reality.
The Cameroon international can’t leave in January as he’s already played for two clubs this season in Villarreal and Levante, and Fifa rules don’t permit a player to play for more than two clubs in the same season.
Whilst Chelsea are always open to opportunities in the market when it comes to young talent, it’s hard to imagine them making a move for Etta Eyong.

The Blues already have Emegha arriving next summer who’s the same age, and the Dutchman has penned a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Emegha scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season, and Chelsea believe he’s got greater potential than Nicolas Jackson.
