Tarik Muharemovic hails Juventus guidance after £34m Leeds move and Premier League step | OneFootball

Tarik Muharemovic says Juventus have been pivotal to his development as he arrives at Leeds United on a five-year deal from Sassuolo for £34m ahead of his first Premier League season.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina centre-back, the club’s second most expensive signing, made 32 appearances for newly-promoted Sassuolo in 2025-26 as they finished 11th, having first joined on loan from Juventus. He moved to Juve from Wolfsberger AC as an 18-year-old in August 2021, leaving without a senior appearance but with nearly 100 games for their youth sides, including the Next Gen team.

"At Juventus, I learned a lot because I had the chance to train and to learn from Chiellini, from Bonucci, and obviously from great coaches like Allegri and my youth coaches." He was speaking to LUTV.

"A lot of tactics but a lot of training only for defenders, so I am happy I passed it!"

"I played in Austria, I played in Italy and I dreamed of playing in the Premier League."

"It was my dream to play and I am here. It is the best football that you can play in the Premier League. You know how physical it is, how fast a game can go, and here you never know who is going to win the game. I am really happy to be now in England."
