Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni expressed his satisfaction after his side’s convincing display against Oviedo, stressing that the team is showing clear progress compared to the opening game of the season.
The Frenchman underlined the importance of the win and his belief that Madrid will continue to grow stronger as the campaign moves forward.
“Today was very important. Before the season, we said we had three games to win until the break, and we won the first two, today with more goals.
“We’re still keeping a clean sheet and we’re going to improve in every game,” Tchouameni told Real Madrid TV.
The midfielder highlighted the improved balance in the squad, especially with Xabi Alonso’s tactical adjustments.
“We have a good balance between what we do offensively and defensively. The most important thing now is to win the ball back as high as possible and create chances.”
One of the clearest changes under Alonso has been Real Madrid’s pressing game, something Tchouameni was quick to point out.

The 25-year-old explained that winning possession higher up the pitch is already paying dividends.
“The team tries to win the ball back in the opponent’s half, and when we do that, it’s easier to score goals like we did today.
“All the players enjoyed the game. We have to keep going like this,” he said.
Despite a shortened pre-season, Tchouameni insisted that the squad is already in strong physical condition and ready for the challenges ahead.
“We started three weeks ago, and between the Osasuna game and today’s, we see the team in good physical condition and with the ball.
“We played a better game today than against Osasuna, and against Mallorca, we’re going to improve. I feel good.
“We’re starting a very long season, and we have to play at a high level to win titles. We’re going to work hard to win them,” he concluded.
