Robert Vilahamn has revealed that recent signing Josefine Rybrink could be in line to make her debut against Manchester United on Sunday.
The Sweden international, who joined us on Monday after three seasons at BK Hacken, has spent the week training at Hotspur Way and is now in contention to play her part against United in a Barclays Women’s Super League clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - tickets remain available to buy.
Speaking to us on Friday afternoon, he said: “Josefine has been training well this week and she will be in the squad for Sunday.”
Meanwhile, Drew Spence missed our trip to Everton on Wednesday and our Head Coach revealed that the midfielder is likely to be unavailable for the encounter in N17 despite returning to training on Friday.
In positive news, Ella Morris is expected to return to full training next week after a significant time on the sidelines with MCL injury.
Asked about further team news in his pre-match press conference, he added: “Drew has struggled a little bit to play, she’s not injured, she has trained but I guess it will be too quick to put her in the squad on Sunday. She’s on the pitch and hopefully will be back soon.
“Ella is back on the pitch, but she needs a few more training sessions until she’s ready for the games. But, otherwise, everyone is ready who hasn’t been out injured.”
We will remain without Eveliina Summanen and Kit Graham for this weekend’s clash with United.
