The summer signing from Nottingham Forest was a half time substitute in United's last friendly, away to Celtic, but comes into Eddie Howe's XI at the 55,000-capacity Singapore National Stadium. Fellow new arrival Seung-soo Park is on the bench.

Jamaal Lascelles makes his first start - other than behind-closed-doors practise matches - since he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury against West Ham in March 2024 which kept him out for the entirety of last term.

Joe Willock lines up against his former club while Alex Murphy starts in defence after an impressive second-half showing at Celtic Park eight days earlier.

Nick Pope is in goal with William Osula leading the line. Howe is likely to ring the changes in the second half and names 17 substitutes, including 18-year-old Park, who arrived at St. James' Park from K League 2 side Suwon Bluewings last week.

All of the Magpies' pre-season fixtures, including the game against the Gunners, will be available for supporters around the world (subject to broadcast rights) to watch live on the Official Newcastle United website and app. Click here for more information.
