Team’s Up – Sinisalo returns, Tounekti and Hogh on bench | OneFootball

Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has named his Starting XI for this evening’s UEFA Europa League opener against Ferencvaros. After Sunday’s Premier Sports Cup exit to Rangers at Ibrox, it was expected that the Irishman would make changes to his team.

Vil Sinisalo returns to the side at the expense of Sam Johnstone while Oliver Sorensen, James Forrest and Haissem Hassan come into the team with Benjamin Nygren, Seb Tounekti and Kasper Hogh dropping to the bench.

Kieran Tierney starts at left back with Colby Donovan at right back. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales continue as the central pairing.

Skipper Callum McGregor starts in the midfield with Mika Baur – who was named in Jurgen Klopp’s Germany side today – and Oliver Sorensen.

Camilo Duran starts through the middle with James Forrest and Haissem Hassan starting in the wide areas.

Subs: Johnstone, Doohan, Lotomba, Trusty, Nygren, Hogh, McCowan, Tounekti, Murray, Ralston.

Celtic will be relying on Kasper Hogh, Seb Tounekti and Benji Nygren coming on and making an impact. Sorensen coming into the team represents a decision to prioritise the defensive side of the game.
