Mathys Tel became Bayern Munichâs youngest ever goalscorer as he helped fire them comfortably past third tier Viktoria Köln in the DFB Pokal.
Scorers: Gravenberch 36âČ, Tel 45+1âČ, ManĂ© 53âČ, Musiala 67âČ, 82âČ
Viktoria, playing at the home of FC. Köln, thought they had taken a shock lead in this one after 20 minutes but the offside flag cut their celebrations short.
And 15 minutes later, it was the visitors who were rejoicing when Ryan Gravenberch shimmied onto his left foot just inside the area to give himself space and picked out the corner of the net.
In injury-time, another summer signing made the most of his first starting chance to show what he can do when Tel jinked in effortlessly off the left and picked out the far corner in sublime fashion for a memorable first Bayern goal, one that saw him eclipse Jamal Musiala as the youngest player ever to net for Bayern.
Eight minutes after the break, Julian Nagelsmannâs men killed off any hopes of a fairytale fightback when their defensive line was caught out attempting a poorly-executed offside trap, allowing Leroy SanĂ© to tee up Sadio ManĂ© for a tap-in before Musiala joined in on the scoring to make it four.
Bayern rounded things off in perfect fashion when Leon Goretzka marked his comeback with a goal, drifting forward before finding the bottom corner from the edge of the area with a deflected effort.
