AC Milan see Fabio Paratici as a leading contendor to be their next sporting director, but plans may have hit a road block, according to reports this afternoon, though this has now been debunked.

It can be argued that this summer will be the most important in recent memory for Milan, with the club planning to restart once again. A new sporting director will arrive, and with him, a new head coach is expected.

For both roles, several names have been put forward, but the latter will stem from the new director, and the favourite for the position is Paratici.

Formerly of Tottenham, the Italian was suspended last year whilst working for the London outfit for reasons unrelated to that role, and this afternoon, as Milan News state, there were suggestions that the two parties would re-align with his ban coming to an end.

However, Matt Law of the Telegraph, as Milan News’ report relays, states that this information is not true, with sources suggesting that there have been no discussions between the two parties, and with the club’s current structure, finding a role for him is difficult.

So, the Rossoneri are still in a good position for his appointment, and an appointment is expected next month, but whether it will be him remains to be seen.
