Tengstedt strikes late as Go Ahead Eagles share the points | OneFootball

Soren Tengstedt levelled in the 82nd minute as Go Ahead Eagles drew 1-1 with Groningen at De Adelaarshorst, a result that drops the hosts to eighth and lifts the visitors to ninth in the Eredivisie.

Brynjolfur Willumsson put Groningen in front with a low strike from outside the box (32.), finishing after Pelle Clement found him in space.

Mathis Suray rattled the right post for the hosts (39.), and Etienne Vaessen kept the visitors ahead before the break with sharp stops from Tengstedt and Stefán Sigurðarson.

After the restart the Supereagles piled on the pressure from a string of corners, and Tengstedt swept in from Sigurðarson's lay-off (82.) to secure a point. Victor Edvardsen then supplied a series of late crosses as chances came and went in the closing stages.

The Supereagles finished with 60.6% possession and 24 attempts, six on target. Groningen mustered four attempts and registered 40 clearances.
