There is discontent brewing within the Real Madrid ranks in the wake of recent refereeing decisions that have greatly impacted the team’s results.

The most recent debacle happened yesterday when Jude Bellingham was handed a red card in the first half against Osasuna. The referees also missed a potential penalty incident involving Vinicius Jr.

All of this came in the midst of an ongoing war between Real Madrid and the referees’ association, which started after the referee’s blunder in the Espanyol game.

Real Madrid set for a meeting

According to Mundo Deportivo, a delegation from Los Blancos is scheduled to visit the Spanish Football Federation’s headquarters in Las Rozas on Monday, to review the refereeing audio from their recent 1-0 loss against Espanyol.

The primary focus of this meeting will be the controversial incident involving Kylian Mbappe and Espanyol’s Carlos Romero.

Real Madrid maintain that the challenge on their star forward from the Espanyol defender warranted a red card, but the match officials decided otherwise.

However, the club’s frustration has only intensified following their 1-1 draws against Atletico Madrid and Osasuna.

Real Madrid believe they were unfairly treated in both matches, particularly due to penalties awarded against Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga for similar stamping incidents.

In contrast, a potential penalty for Vinícius Jr. against Osasuna was not given.

There is a sense of skepticism within the Real Madrid camp, with some suggesting that refereeing decisions have turned against them since they lodged their formal protest.

Given these concerns, Monday’s meeting in Las Rozas is expected to be tense and crucial.
