Juventus have gotten off to a sluggish start in the summer transfer window and now have three tense situations to resolve in the coming weeks.
The Bianconeri’s primary target of the summer is Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, but a deal cannot be completed until the club generate some funds. After things fell quiet regarding Federico Chiesa, Matias Soule emerged as the primary candidate for the chopping block.
Roma are seriously interested in signing Soule for around €30m this summer, recently sending in an improved offer to try and beat out competition from West Ham and Leicester City. Updates are expected in the coming days as Juventus push for a sale.
Corriere dello Sport details how Juventus have three issues at home with unhappy players, starting with Mattia De Sciglio, who was clearly unimpressed with the decision not to bring him to the pre-season retreat in Germany. Monza have started to move forward for the veteran full back.
The Bianconeri also need to resolve the Wojciech Szczesny situation; the Bianconeri have been hoping to sell the Polish veteran abroad, with Al-Nassr working on a deal, but everything collapsed, and the goalkeeper doesn’t want to leave Turin, despite the signing of Michele Di Gregorio.
Finally, there’s Dean Huijsen; the talented defender had been hoping to break into the Juventus squad after his time on loan with Roma, but the club immediately transfer listed him, leaving him disappointed. He’ll only leave for a top European club, uninterested in joining VfB Stuttgart.
