Kristensen got an assist in Denmark’s 2-2 draw with Belarus, leaving them with a winner-take-all show-down. Theate’s Belgium also picked up a draw, while Amenda’s Switzerland’s side cruised to victory.

The European nations are currently approaching the finishing line in their World Cup qualifying campaigns, with things hotting up as they vie for a spot at the 2026 tournament. Eagles Arthur Theate, Rasmus Kristensen and Aurèle Amenda were all involved with their countries on Saturday.

Amenda was an unused substitute for Switzerland, who picked up a 4-1 win over Sweden. The Swiss are top of Group B, three points clear of second-placed Kosovo, and with their vastly superior goal difference, they are as good as through to the World Cup.

Showdown for Denmark

Denmark on the other hand now face a play-off in all but name, after they only managed a 2-2 against Belarus in Copenhagen, with Kristensen setting up the first goal for his country that gave them an early lead. The Danish Dynamite now travel to Scotland on Tuesday to decide who finishes first in Group C. The Danes currently sit on 11 points, Scotland on ten.

Belgium, for whom Theate played the full 90 minutes, drew 1-1 away to Kazakhstan and are also not quite over the line. The Red Devils are two points clear of North Macedonia at the top of Group J, and face Liechtenstein at home on Tuesday.
