Thought the holidays are over? Think again! On Tuesday 6 January at 15:00 CET, a real football festival awaits at the Red Bull Arena when we host FC Bayern Munich for a friendly match. Over 26,000 tickets have already been sold, making a great atmosphere guaranteed despite the winter chill.

It's the ultimate test right at the start of the year, after Bayern's stars went into their winter break as runaway league leaders with only one defeat and one draw. Since the winter break in Germany is significantly shorter than it is in Austria, this match against us is all the more important for Bayern Munich as a final rehearsal. It's their only friendly of the winter break before their first competitive match of 2026 against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday.
Our encounter with Bayern marks the fourth winter friendly between our teams. The record so far: one win and one draw. If Kompany's side keep up their form from the autumn, the upcoming clash with Harry Kane & Co. will be a massive test for our lads.

We have been back in training since Saturday. Two days after the Bayern match, we are off to a nine-day training camp in Turkey, where two more friendlies await us. Before the match against Bayern, at 12:30 CET on Tuesday, there will be a press conference to introduce our new sporting director, Marcus Mann. You can watch it as usual via the free RBS TV live stream on our website or our app.

A few tickets are still available online in our ticket shop.
Those staying home can watch the match live on 6 January on RBS TV, ServusTV and ServusTV On.
To help you prepare for the game, here are three exciting anecdotes about the legendary club.
We're looking forward to the game. The situation is different than it was a year ago in our friendly. We, or rather the team, know each other better and are playing at a higher level. Nevertheless, we're playing against one of the strongest teams in Europe.

Bayern are one of the top teams in Europe, and we always look forward to matches like this. Last year's defeat was a bit too comprehensive. This time, we want to approach the match with positive energy, and perhaps we can surprise them. It's important that each of us gets back into the swing of things and gains match practice. Of course, we also want to make a good impression in front of the more than 26,000 fans in the stadium and put on a good performance. After a three-week break, we've all been missing football, so we're really looking forward to walking through the tunnel again and seeing the packed stands!
