According to Globo.com, Tetê returned to training on Tuesday after being cleared by Grêmio’s medical staff following a hip muscle oedema. The forward is expected to be named in the squad to face Atlético-MG in the Brasileirão on Sunday at 16:00 at Arena MRV.

The team reconvened on Tuesday after two days off. On Saturday they beat São Paulo 2-1 in the league, giving head coach Luís Castro a full week to prepare for the next match.

With Tetê out, Castro restored Pavon to the right flank and handed newly signed Diego Caito the full-back role. Both impressed in wins over Mirassol in the Copa do Brasil and São Paulo in the league.

Tetê is not guaranteed to regain a starting place. Castro will finalise his line-up by Saturday morning, before the squad travel in the afternoon to Belo Horizonte.

Grêmio are still awaiting Filip Krovinovic’s registration. The Croatian needs his work visa published in the Diário Oficial de União (DOU) and his name in the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário (BID) by Friday to be available against the Galo.
