According to Diario Do Peixe, attacking midfielder Thaciano has begun the on-pitch phase of his recovery at CT Rei Pelé, taking another step towards a comeback.

He is recovering from an oedema in the right hamstring, sustained during the clássico against Corinthians in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista in January.

There is still no set date for his return to action, with the coaching staff and medical department assessing his progress daily.

The injury has kept him out against Red Bull Bragantino and São Paulo in the Paulista, plus the Campeonato Brasileiro opener against Chapecoense.

Before the setback, Juan Pablo Vojvoda had used him as a starter. In 2026 he has made four appearances and scored one goal for Santos.
