Thaís Regina has completed six months without a competitive appearance for Corinthians and is targeting a return after the World Cup pause. According to Meu Timao, the centre-back is in the final phase of recovery from a fractured fibula in her left ankle sustained in pre-season before the Copa das Campeãs.

The internal expectation is that she will be available to head coach Emily Lima after the World Cup break. She has not featured in 2026 because of the injury.

At the end of May she returned to group training on the pitch, with her workload still monitored by the medical staff. Midfielder Juliana Passari, sidelined since April with a right thigh muscle problem, also rejoined team sessions under the same conditions. The defender said on social media that she was back and thanked God.

Thaís Regina last featured on 7 December 2025 in a 5-1 defeat to Palmeiras, the first leg of the Campeonato Paulista final.

This is her second season at Parque São Jorge. Signed in 2025, she finished her first year with 30 appearances, four goals and two assists, and contributed to title wins in the Campeonato Brasileiro and Libertadores.

Corinthians will return to action in the second half of July. With a base date of the 17th, they are due to host Ferroviária at Fazendinha in the fourth round of the Paulistão, with official confirmation of date and time pending the Federação Paulista de Futebol’s detailed schedule.
