Thaisinha steps up training as Sereias return nears | OneFootball

Thaisinha resumed training with the squad on Wednesday 22, edging nearer to a Sereias da Vila comeback after left-knee arthroscopy performed on 18 November last year.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the No 10 is almost fully recovered from cartilage and meniscus repairs and remains in a physical transition phase while joining parts of team sessions.

This week she followed load management, alternating work days and physiotherapy. She still needs to regain training rhythm and will keep integrating with Caio Couto’s group until the staff judge she is ready for matches.

Santos continue in the Brasileirão Feminino, and in Brasileiro A-1 they have 10 points in 11th place with two wins, four draws and one defeat, scoring 10 and conceding eight.

They face Palmeiras on Monday 27 at 20:00 at Allianz. In the state competition, they open the Paulista against Ferroviária on 6 May.

The group will also contest the Copa do Brasil this season. Thaisinha has 80 goals in 202 appearances for the Sereias and is under contract until December this year.
