John Obi Mikel believes Enzo Fernandez is the only player in the Chelsea team who calls out his team mates when they do something wrong.
Fernandez is having his best season at Chelsea since joining the club for a then British record of £106m from Benfica in January 2023.
The 24-year-old has added goals to his game and has five goals and five assists in the league, with Maresca impressed by his improvement.
The Argentine has carried his good form from the international break back to Chelsea with a man of the match performance against Tottenham last week.
It was more difficult for Fernandez in Sunday’s goalless draw with Brentford, but he was still driving the team on as they searched for a winning goal.

Mikel was impressed by Fernandez and highlighted something he did which he really liked, and claimed he’s the only Chelsea player who does it.
“He’s that one player that I see that screams to the players when they’re not doing something right? He wants to win. You can see it in his face. He’s calling out players. He’s screaming at players. I like to see that,” he told The Obi One Podcast.
This was highlighted by one incident where Fernandez was less than impressed with Christopher Nkunku and he let him know in no uncertain terms.
Chelsea aren’t planning for a summer exit for Fernandez despite links to Real Madrid, whilst he reportedly turned down a move to Atletico Madrid.

The World Cup winner has really developed his leadership skills this season, and he’s captained the side on a number of occasions in the absence of Reece James.
With Romeo Lavia suffering an injury setback, Fernandez will likely start most of the remaining games and he will have a key role to play in whether Chelsea achieve their goals of qualifying for the Champions League and winning the Conference League.
