Former Chelsea star Joe Cole has predicted a worrying dooms day scenario at Chelsea as things go from bad to worse.

We all know the situation now. Chelsea have just lost four games in a row in the Premier League and as a result, they are slipping away from any chance they had of qualifying for Champions League football for next season.

This will be an absolute disaster for the owners and this should never be played down. They will be desperate to get UCL football.

Without it next season, they will struggle to attract the very best talents and also, many of their own players will be looking to leave the club this summer and will become massively unhappy not playing in the top European competition.

Estevao lies injured for Chelsea.

Speaking on TNT Sports, the ex-Chelsea attacker said: “You come here [to Chelsea] and you expect to win trophies, so if it doesn’t happen, then the facts of the matter are, there will be players in that dressing room that will be telling their agents, ‘Can you get me out of here?’

“I can’t come out here and lie, that will happen, regardless of what they say or what statements they do, because that is the nature of the beast with footballers. It is a short career and you want to win trophies.”

And on Delap, we are already hearing the excuses about why he has not been playing well in a Chelsea shirt since arriving in the summer. We’re all tired of excuses to be honest.
