The Blues are looking to get back to winning ways in the league having dropped crucial points against Leeds in a 2-2 draw last time out.

Chelsea beat Burnley 2-0 in the corresponding fixture in November, and realistically shouldn’t be having too many problems against Scott Parker’s men.

Paul Merson on Cole Palmer best position

Palmer missed the win against Hull in the FA Cup, but is highly likely to return to the starting line up for the Burnley game.

Rosenior has mainly deployed Palmer on the right since he arrived, with Enzo Fernandez operating more centrally.

Palmer has spoken about how he feels he’s playing with more freedom under Rosenior, and he thrived on the right under Mauricio Pochettino.

Enzo Maresca predominantly played Palmer centrally, and Merson has claimed that’s actually his best position.

“I like Palmer as a number ten,” he told Sports Keeda.

“I think that’s his best position.”

Despite missing virtually the entire first half of the season, Palmer has still scored nine goals in 18 appearances in all competitions.

Liam Rosenior backs Liam Delap

Whilst Palmer is finding his form again, the same can’t be said for Liam Delap, who’s struggled following his move from Ipswich last summer.

Delap has had injury issues, but has managed just two goals in 24 appearances in all competitions, with one of those in the Premier League.

He’s currently playing second fiddle to the in form Joao Pedro, but Rosenior has backed Delap ahead of Saturday’s game against Burnley.

The 23-year-old will likely find himself on the bench, but he needs to build on his second half performance against Hull.
