After EURO 2024 in Germany, EURO 2028 will be held in Great Britain and Ireland, while EURO 2032 will take place in Italy and Turkey.

For some time now, questions have been raised about which stadiums could host EURO matches, as they need to meet a certain number of UEFA criteria, while Italy has a large number of stadiums that have become outdated.

Many clubs and cities are taking advantage of the opportunity provided by EURO 2032 to launch the construction or renovation of their stadiums.

13 cities and 14 stadiums bidding to host EURO 2032.

The FIGC announced on Wednesday evening, 30 September, the list of the 13 cities bidding to host EURO 2032:

  1. Bari - San Nicola: stadium renovation
  2. Bologna: new stadium
  3. Cagliari: new stadium
  4. Florence - Stadio Comunale Artemio-Franchi: renovation
  5. Genoa - Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris: renovation
  6. Lecce - Stadio Via del Mare: renovation
  7. Milan: new stadium
  8. Naples - Stadio Diego Armando Maradona: renovation
  9. Palermo - Stadio Renzo Barbera: renovation
  10. Rome - Stadio Olimpico: minor renovation
  11. Rome: AS Roma's new stadium
  12. Salerno - Stadio Arechi: renovation
  13. Turin - Allianz Stadium: stadium ready
  14. Verona: new Bentegodi stadium

Among the stadiums initially considered, only two projects were left out and not submitted to UEFA: Napoli's new stadium project and Lazio's new stadium project. These projects were considered not sufficiently advanced.

5 stadiums will be selected for Italy.

This list of 14 stadiums has been submitted so that UEFA can carry out compliance checks. Each stadium is analysed to verify compliance with UEFA regulations. There are 11 areas and 120 criteria covering infrastructure, the city's ability to host the event, accessibility, fan services, sustainability, media services, security...

Following UEFA's feedback on its analysis of each stadium and city, the FIGC will be able to decide which 5 stadiums will be selected to host the competition.
