Ahead of the final break of the year for international football, the Premier League sent fans away happy after more dramatic thrills and spills.
Champions Manchester City incredibly fell to a fourth successive defeat, Liverpool continued their superb start with victory over Aston Villa and there was no separating Chelsea and Arsenal.
Here are the most interesting statistics to emerge from the action.
Manchester City have lost their first-ever Premier League game in which Haaland has scored a goal 😮–
Normally when Erling Haaland hits the back of the net in the Premier League, Manchester City can be assured of at least a point and usually three (winning 40 and drawing six on the 46 occasions he previously did so). Not anymore.
When it comes to the big games, Pedro Neto is flourishing, as his long-range strike rescued a point for Chelsea against Arsenal.
Mohamed Salah is absolutely on fire under Arne Slot. A reminder too that he was not ranked in the top 30 in this year's Ballon d'Or. Baffling.
While the stat is evidence of the good work done by United's interim boss, it also shines an unwanted light on their home failings under the man he replaced.
Few would surely have expected the Fulham man to be leading this category at this stage of the season but he has been in excellent form.
