Five players are set to miss out on the action as Coventry City host Sheffield United

The Championship action makes its return this weekend following the international break, with a Friday night clash between Plymouth and Watford getting the second tier's 16th gameweek underway.

Following Friday night's fixture at Home Park, there are three 12:30 kick-offs on Saturday, as Bristol City host Burnley, Sheffield United travel to Coventry City, and Sheffield Wednesday entertain Cardiff City.

The game between the Sky Blues and the Blades will be a particularly interesting encounter, as it is Coventry's first home game since the controversial sacking of long-serving boss Mark Robins, while Chris Wilder's men are looking to build on their momentum following a Steel City Derby win over Wednesday last time out.

With a big weekend of Championship football up ahead, Football League World takes a look at the five players who are set to miss Saturday's fixture at the CBS Arena, starting with the Sky Blues players set to miss out.

Haji Wright

As reported by the Coventry Telegraph, USA forward Haji Wright suffered an ankle injury while playing for his club against Sunderland prior to the international break.

Wright is the Sky Blues' top scorer this term, with seven Championship goals, and also netted the equaliser for his side during the 2-2 draw with the Black Cats last time out, before being hooked from the action on 90 minutes.

As per the Coventry Telegraph, we can expect the forward to be absent, at least for this weekend, while he also missed out on representing the USA during the international break.

Had Wright been available for his nation, he could have played against Sky Blues teammate Joel Latibeaudiere, who featured for Jamaica in their two games against Mauricio Pochettino's men.

Raphael Borges Rodrigues

Sky Blues summer signing Raphael Borges Rodrigues is still yet to feature for the West Midlands side, since arriving from Australian outfit Macarthur FC last summer, courtesy of an injury.

He returned to action in an under-21s game on Tuesday lunchtime, and featured for 65 minutes, but according to the Coventry Telegraph, he is set to feature in more development matches prior to making his first team return.

Jake Bidwell

Following a knee ligament strain, full-back Jake Bidwell has not featured for Coventry since a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in early October, and is still in the latter stages of his recovery programme.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ben Wilson missed out on the Sky Blues' recent trip to the Stadium of Light due to a knee-ligament injury, but could feature in Saturday's matchday squad.

Kieffer Moore

Onto the Blades' injury news now, and striker Kieffer Moore, whose last Championship action came on Bonfire night, when the South Yorkshire outfit won 2-1 at Bristol City, is set to continue his spell on the sidelines.

As reported by BBC Sport, the former Bournemouth man suffered a calf strain at Ashton Gate, and subsequently missed out on the recent Steel City Derby.

His injury meant that he was unable to feature for Wales during the international break, and is set to be unavailable for the Blades on Saturday too.

Rhian Brewster

Rhian Brewster last played for the Blades during a 2-0 win at Blackburn earlier this month, and was replaced by fellow striker Tyrese Campbell on 54 minutes, after going down on the grass at Ewood Park twice.

Wilder later revealed that his striker had suffered a thigh issue, but indicated that the former Liverpool youngster would be in contention for the South Yorkshire side's following trip to Ashton Gate.

However, Brewster did not feature in the clash against the Robins, nor was he included in the Blades' Steel City Derby matchday squad, which is indicative that his injury is longer term than first feared.

Another doubt for Wilder and co is midfielder Ollie Arblaster, who suffered a knock during the recent derby at Bramall Lane, and had to be removed from the action at half-time.
