Chelsea are happy with the job Enzo Maresca is currently doing and have sympathy surrounding the current injuries according to The Athletic.
The Blues put in arguably their worst performance of the season against Brighton on Friday night as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat.
Maresca’s men are currently on a run of two wins in their last nine league games, and are in the midst of a slump they seemingly have no idea how to get out of.
With Manchester City and Bournemouth winning on Saturday Chelsea have dropped to sixth in the table, albeit just one point outside the top four.
The Blues current form is a far cry from earlier in the season, with Chelsea sitting second at one point and scoring goals for fun.
The collective drop off from the whole team is alarming, although Gary Neville feels the pressure should be on those above Maresca.

Before Christmas Chelsea had the chance to go top with a win at Everton, but they were held to a goalless draw and things haven’t been the same since.
Chelsea didn’t strengthen in January and are now very short in attack given injuries to Marc Guiu and Nicolas Jackson, whilst Noni Madueke went off with a hamstring injury in the defeat to Brighton.
Maresca will no doubt be feeling the pressure, and it’s on him to come up with the solutions to get the Blues winning again and secure Champions League football.
The Italian has insisted he was expected to deliver Champions League football in his second season, comments that haven’t gone down well with fans.

What Maresca needs more than anything is three points, but things don’t get any easier as the Blues face a tough trip to Aston Villa on Saturday.
