One of the things that has rather surprisingly gone viral after AC Milan’s derby win over Inter is Tammy Abraham’s heat map, which is being referred to as the ‘avocado press’.
On a tactical note, the decision to play Abraham alongside Alvaro Morata in a 4-4-2/4-2-4 formation raised some eyebrows, and yet the line of four forwards pressing really seemed to disrupt Inter’s ability to play out and rattled their main players in the build-up phase.
After the game Milan published a photo of Abraham’s heat map – which means the areas he covered during the match, with different colours denoting more presence in that zone – and it didn’t take long for supporters to point out the resemblance to an avocado.
Whether Fonseca decides to continue playing two up front in the games to come remains to be seen, but there were certainly some encouraging signs against the Nerazzurri as the Rossoneri not only won but dominated the game.
