The transfer window closed at 7pm on September 1 for English sides but there are still many free agents available that clubs are still able to bring in.
Even though Premier League clubs have spent over £3 billion on players this summer there are still some clubs with gaps to fill in their squads.
The next transfer window opens in January but if clubs want to add to their squad before then they are able to bring in free agents who are currently without a club.
So which free agents should clubs be looking out for?
The former Liverpool midfielder was frozen out at his last club Besiktas and left out of their Europa League squad last season, and it was announced on 27 August this year that his contract at the club would be terminated.
The Englishman has over 300 games of Premier League experience as well as a Champions League medal so he could prove to be a vital addition for any side in need of depth in the centre of the park.
Even though his career has been plagued by injuries, at only 32 he still could have a few years left at the top level if the right club takes a chance on him.
A key part of the Ajax side that stormed to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019, beating Real Madrid and Juventus, but the Moroccan has found it difficult to find form ever since.
Ziyech struggled at Chelsea and since then he has had his contracts at Galatasaray and Al-Duhail both terminated.
However, the winger could still bolster any squad that lacks creativity.
The former Sporting, Wolves and Roma goalkeeper is still without a club, having last played for UAE side Al Ain in the Club World Cup.
Now 37, the Portugal shot stopper is likely approaching the end of his career but could be a good option for a club in need of more goalkeeper depth.
The former West Ham striker has made a remarkably quick comeback from a car accident which almost killed him last year. He told Hayters before the start of the season that he is eager to get back playing again.
Reguilon has not played the football he would have hoped for over the past couple of seasons and is now without a club after leaving Tottenham. He has also had loan spells at Manchester United and Brentford, where he showed he still has something to offer in the Premier League.
The Denmark midfielder left Manchester United this summer after three years and is still surprisingly on the look out for a new club. He played 35 times in all competitions for the Red Devils last season, scoring five times and setting up six goals.
Tomiyasu left Arsenal by mutual consent in July and is recovering from knee surgery. He proved himself to be a versatile and reliable defender for the Gunners when he has played but is obviously a risk given his injury record.
