Manchester United are aiming to make several summer signings, but they must also fund their transfer campaign partially through sales.
Last summer, INEOS cleaned the house with Ruben Amorim’s blessing. The Portuguese head coach bluntly prevented five players from training with the rest of the team, creating the so-called ‘bomb squad’.

This method proved efficient, with Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony all leaving the club one way or the other, and Tyrell Malacia emerging as the sole survivor.
While it remains to be seen if Michael Carrick is willing to resort to Amorim’s unpleasant means, Man Utd will certainly try to sell some of the players on their books, especially those who are unlikely to play a prominent role in the manager’s plans next season.
The i Paper journalist Pete Hall identifies three Erik ten Hag signings who could be on their way, beginning with Manuel Ugarte.

Even in a thin midfield department, the Uruguayan still struggled to break into Carrick’s plans this season. Under Carrick, he only started matches when either Kobbie Mainoo or Casemiro was unavailable, while his cameos were hardly impressive.
The Red Devils spent £50 million on the 25-year-old, so they’re now trying to cut their losses by finding him a new club. Gatalataray are said to be interested in the former PSG midfielder.
Speaking of MUFC players who have a market in Turkiye, Andre Onana is reportedly wanted by Trabzonspor, who signed him on loan in September, and Besiktas, who are searching the market for a new goalkeeper.
The source claims that the Cameroonian cutodian still has hopes of reigniting his Man Utd career, but the club has no desire to reinstate him after all the howlers he committed during his two seasons at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are instead delighted with Senne Lammens’ displays, and have no plans to pair him with the former Inter Milan and Ajax man.
Unlike Ugarte and Onana, Joshua Zirkzee remains a popular figure among the club’s supporters, despite his limited participation this season.
Hall reveals that the Dutchman had expressed a desire to leave in the past due to his lack of playing time, but he wouldn’t mind extending his stint at United, where he feels at ease. However, MUFC are ready to entertain offers, as they consider him a profile capable of attracting decent offers.
Thanks to his exploits at Bologna, Zirkzee still has several suitors in Serie A, especially Roma. So it remains to be seen what the future will hold for the versatile attacker.
Aside from this trio and a few others like Marcus Rashford and Altay Bayindir, the Man Utd squad should be confirmed for next season, but Carrick is expecting a few additions, especially in midfield, following Casemiro’s departure.
The club also needs a new left-back to take some of the burden off Luke Shaw, who started all 38 Premier League fixtures this season.
