Chelsea are very happy with Moises Caicedo and journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed it wouldn’t surprise him if a new deal was agreed before the World Cup next summer.
Caicedo has once again been in superb form this season, with three goals in the first seven league games, including a brilliant strike against Liverpool.
Gary Neville has labelled Caicedo as the best midfielder in the Premier League, and on current evidence it’s hard to argue against that.
Caicedo announced earlier this month he was changing agents, which caused a bit of a stir, but it’s understood he’ll now be represented by his family.
It’s been reported Chelsea are looking at opening talks with Caicedo for a new deal, and Bailey has revealed he wouldn’t be surprised if it was agreed before the World Cup.

“The club are eager to make clear that his change of agent isn’t linked to his future,” he told TBR Football.
“He’s cementing himself as one of the very best midfielders in the Premier League.
“Chelsea tend to reward players — we saw that with Cole Palmer, whose deal was done quickly after his impact.
“So it wouldn’t be a surprise if a new deal was agreed before the World Cup, but it’s not essential. He’s not agitating for one.
“Chelsea are in a good rhythm with that — players know they’ll be rewarded.”
Chelsea have rewarded players and both Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson were handed two year extensions last year keeping them at the club until 2033.

Jackson has subsequently left, but the Blues have also rewarded Marc Cucurella with a new deal for his fine form.
Chelsea are yet to officially confirm the news, but it’s been reported the deal is all done with Cucurella himself confirming he’s signed it.
