This Sunday, Chivas Femenil will change venues, as they will now play at Estadio Jalisco for Matchday 12 of the 2025 Apertura, a stadium that has served as the Rojiblancos' home on several occasions within the women's circuit. In fact, one of the most recent matches was against their current rival: Xolos de Tijuana.

It was Matchday 14 of the AP24, and the Coloso de la Calzada Independencia welcomed the Rebaño Sagrado and the border team, a match in which the Guadalajara team aimed to finish as strongly as possible in the final stretch of the championship towards the playoffs.

After controlling the action in the first third of the match, the Rojiblancas crystallized their superiority in the 32nd minute with a great individual play by 'Viri' Salazar. Guadalajara's number 30 received the ball on the right, faced her marker, feinted, and cut toward the center to unleash a tight left-footed shot that nestled into the opposite corner of the Tijuana goal.

That's how the first half ended, with Chiverío leading 1-0, but with the home team feeling like they were way better. And it was no different in the second half, when Chivas Femenil came out to finish the game as soon as possible.

It took them just 13 minutes of the second half to hammer the second nail in the visitors' coffin. Now on the opposite side, 'Montse' Hernández served a diagonal pass into the area for Yamile Franco, who, on receiving the ball, turned completely on her own axis, shaking off two defenders, and in the same move fired a low shot at the near post, impossible for Alvarado to save.

In the 69th minute, the final nail was hammered into the coffin with a stroke of genius from Guadalajara's top scorer. Licha Cervantes split the defense down the middle toward the penalty spot on a through ball from Caro Jaramillo. The 'Predator' controlled the ball with her thigh with her back to the goal, took two touches, turned, beat the goalkeeper, and scored the Rojiblancos' third goal of the night.

Although the visitors narrowed the gap in the 80th minute, the Rojiblancos' victory was never in danger. Thus, Chivas Femenil secured three points that gave them a significant boost, which they will seek to replicate this Sunday for gameday 12 of AP25.
