The former Hoops skipper – who recently departed his role as Ayr United manager – knows better than most what it takes to handle high-stakes run-ins, having lifted 10 league titles across a 14-year spell at the Hoops.
With Celtic preparing for the final stretch of the campaign, including three home fixtures from their five post-split matches – among them key clashes with the Ibrox club and Hearts – Brown believes his old side can capitalise on home advantage and turn Celtic Park back into a fortress.
Speaking via BBC Sportsound, Broony said: “That’s a huge positive for them because they are really strong at Parkhead. Having two home games against your top two rivals is really good. It’s exciting, and it could even go down to goal difference, which is crazy.”
“Martin [O’Neill] talked about the spirit, and that was exceptional; you could see the togetherness in them. The fans spurred them on at Dundee, and that’s so important.”

“Sometimes you don’t play well, and for large periods of the second half, Celtic didn’t play well. But you have to find ways to win games, and that’s what they did.”
“The Hearts result pushed them on a bit as well, that’s probably why they came out in the first half at 100 mph to get the goal.”
Celtic will take on St Mirren in their final fixture before the league split, before meeting the Buddies again at Hampden in next week’s Scottish Cup semi-final.

Following the split, O’Neill’s side begin their closing run with a home encounter against Falkirk, before heading to Easter Road to face Hibernian. A crucial Glasgow Derby clash with the Rangers comes next, ahead of an away trip to Motherwell, with the campaign set to conclude in what could be a blockbuster encounter against Hearts on Saturday 16 May.
