Mikel Oyarzabal has entered Spain’s all-time top 10 scorers.
Superdeporte notes that four former Valencia players are in that group.
David Villa leads with 59 goals in 98 caps, David Silva is fifth with 35 in 125, Fernando Morientes is seventh with 27 in 47, and Ferran Torres is 10th with 23 in 54.
Alfredo Di Stéfano also shares 10th place. As Valencia coach he won the 1970-71 league title and the 1979-80 Cup Winners’ Cup.
The Real Sociedad forward debuted on 29 May 2016 against Bosnia. He has 52 caps and 24 goals, operating across the frontline rather than as a pure nine.
His current streak has lifted him into elite company, with 11 goals and six assists in his last 10 Spain games. He is the leading scorer of Luis de la Fuente’s tenure with 18 goals.
Oyarzabal has repeatedly delivered on major stages. He left his mark in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic final and the Nations League finals of 2021 and 2025, then scored the goal that returned Spain to the summit of European football on 14 July 2024 in Berlin.
