The social media team at La Liga outfit Real Betis have on Tuesday taken advantage of the chance to have some fun at the expense of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr.

As much comes by way of a post comparing the Brazilian’s recent output with that of Betis wide-man Antony.

Antony has of course spent the last few months rebuilding his reputation across the continent.

After struggling once more over the opening half of the season in England, the former Ajax man has since found a home for himself in the form of La Liga side Real Betis.

Looking a player completely reborn under the watch of Manuel Pellegrini, Antony, to date, has racked up seven goals and four assists in 20 appearances in Verdiblancos colours.

And it is precisely such production which features front and centre in the social media post alluded to above…

Taking to their official Instagram platform on Tuesday, Real Betis unveiled a side-by-side comparing the statistics of Antony and fellow countryman Vinícius Jr. since the turn of the year.

Not only that, but the image is accompanied by the caption:

“Vinícius and Antony stats in 2025 since the goat joined Real Betis. There’s only one clear Ballon D’Or 2025 contender in my books.”
