Harry Kane celebrated a milestone this weekend after reaching 500 career goals.
The England captain scored twice inBayern Munich's 3-0 win at Werder Bremen to pass the 500-goal mark for club and country.
"Really proud to reach 500 career goals. All these career milestones are something I'm really proud of. I try and take it in, I try and appreciate it,"he said on social media.
"Obviously, big thanks to all the teammates over the years, all the coaches and all the staff that have helped me to achieve it. As always, we look forward to the next game, the next goal. I can start racking up a few more and see how far we can get."
Kane has become the first Englishman to officially reach 500 career goals. We've listed the five highest scoring English footballers of all time.
Some might forget it, but football actually started before thePremier League.
Alan Shearer's all-time record in the Premier League is the stuff of legend, but he only makes it in at number five here.
Shearer scored 409 goals for club and country during his career, 283 of which came in England's top flight. During that period, he won three Premier League Golden Boots and becameNewcastle United's all-time record scorer.
Derby County's record scorer, Steve Bloomer scored 332 goals for The Rams over two spells with the club. Bloomer also represented Middlesbrough during a prolific career and scored 28 goals in just 23 caps for England.
Only Jimmy Greaves has scored more goals in England's top flight than Bloomer.
Speaking of which...
Jimmy Greaves scored a record-breaking 357 top-flight goals in England during a career in which the forward representedChelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham, alongside a short-lived spell in Italy at AC Milan.
Only Harry Kane has scored more goals for Spurs than Greaves, while he also notched up 44 goals in an England shirt. He was part of the squad that won the 1966 World Cup, but lost his place in the team to Geoff Hurst due to injury.
Dixie Dean's goalscoring feats are still spoken about almost 90 years since he last kicked a ball in England's top flight.
Dean scored a record-breaking 383 goals in 433 games forEverton, including a fabled 1927-28 season that is cemented in history.
That campaign, Dean scored a record 60 league goals in 39 games, an achievement unlikely to be eclipsed. The Birkenhead-born goal-getter also netted 18 times in just 16 appearances for England
Harry Kane is the first-ever Englishman to reach 500 career goals.
England's all-time record scorer has 78 goals in 112 caps for the Three Lions, having eclipsed Wayne Rooney's record in 2023.
Other notable achievements for Kane include being Tottenham Hotspur's leading goalscorer and the highest-scoring Englishman in Champions League history (45).
Now with Bayern Munich, he's bettered a goal-per-game in the Bundesliga, with 88 goals in 85 league appearances.
