The Madrid derby takes centre stage in Spain on Saturday, and we had multiple goals in the first 45 minutes.
The match was all Atleti in the opening moments; Real Madrid looked extremely shaky and defensively confused in front of a booming atmosphere and crowd.
The hosts, therefore, made the most of the energy and peppered Thibaut Courtois with six chances. One of which saw Robin Le Normand rise highest and thump a header home for the opener as the Metropolitano erupted.
The visitors, however, then finally unlocked the talents of Kylian Mbappe, who hadn't had a kick all game (nor had the club registered a shot at all).
In the blink of an eye, Arda Guler set up the Frenchman on the right side of the box with an inch-perfect through ball and Mbappe found the bottom opposite corner.
It goes down as his 10th goal across all competitions for Los Blancos this season. He now has more LaLiga goals for the club than Luis Figo (39).
Moments later, the provider turned scorer as an unmarked Guler half-volleyed home a cross from Vinicius Junior. But then Alexander Sorloth headed in a late equaliser as the whistle blew.
Buckle up for the second half!
