Jai McIntosh and Lloyd Canfield were on Simon Phillips’ podcast this week talking about Chelsea and their game against Liverpool this weekend.

They both agreed there was one thing they really didn’t want to see – former Chelsea academy youngster Rio Ngumoha coming on and doing well for the Reds. It would be the cherry on top of the painful beating we’re likely to receive even from this struggling Liverpool team.

Rio Ngumoha success would rub salt in the wounds of Chelsea winger failures

“If Rio comes on for Liverpool and scores against Chelsea, I’m genuinely going to go for a walk and clear my head. Because he’s better than the guys we’ve got on the left,” McIntosh said.

“We have players in the academy who are better than the players we’ve got in the first team. I don’t see why we’re not using them,” Canfield agreed.

Ngumoha left Chelsea because he thought he wouldn’t get a first team chance, and we replaced him with a couple of terrible signings. If he had stuck around, he’d surely be starting regularly by now.
