It's smooth sailing for Thomas Frank and Tottenham as Spurs lead 2-0 in their capital clash at home against visiting Brentford.
A first-half strike from Richarlison got the North London side up and running in the 25th minute across a performance that has been one of the best they have produced in what has otherwise been a topsy-turvy 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

But it has been Dutch midfield star Xavi Simons who deserves all the plaudits this evening in the capital, with the former RB Leipzig standout putting in his best performance in a Tottenham shirt since arriving from Saxony in the summer.
Simons turned provider for Richarlison's opener before adding his name on the scoresheet just before the halftime interval in what has been a swashbuckling performance from the 22-year-old maestro.
He has not been at the races overall, but if today is anything to go by, Simons could be on the verge of a real breakout period.
